In cooperation with the Czech Development Agency, the project “Exchange of radiation source of cobalt radiation in Georgia” was carried out within the framework of a public contract. The project was implemented in the form of a turn-key delivery including all related services, including the transport of a new head with a new source to the place of installation, disassembly and removal of the original head with the original source, installation, commissioning, operation and performance control of the new source, recommissioning. The official presentation of the project took place on 27.07.2015 and had a great deal of appreciation in the media. The official handover of the cobalt source and the signature of the handover protocol were attended by Mr. David Sergeenko, Minister of Labor, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia, and Mr. Tomáš Pernický, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to Georgia.
One of the tasks of the project, or the realization of the given supply, was also the visibility of the Czech Development Agency and awareness raising about its activities – foreign development cooperation (ODR). Foreign development cooperation is an important part of the Czech Republic’s external activities with a certain distribution to territorial and sectoral projects and priorities. GRUSIA is one of the territories where the Czech Republic’s development activities are more extensive.
A major contribution to raising awareness of the Czech Republic’s ZRS in this project was represented by the Embassy in Tbilisi, namely the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic in Georgia Mr. Tomáš Pernický, the Associate of the Czech Embassy for Humanitarian and Development Cooperation Mr Albert Sidó and the Assistant to the Co- . An important role in the visibility of the CFRC played a presentation of the CRA in the media.
