Uranium compounds for dyeing glass
Uranium oxide is one of the uranium processing products. Uranium oxide is used as an enamel enhancer in the field of non-nuclear uranium utilization. After the glass has been removed, a product is formed which, according to the uranium content, has a color ranging from yellow to yellow-green to yellow-brown. By adding other chemical elements it is possible to obtain another spectrum of colors.
The content of uranium in the glass also causes fluorescence of the glass and thus the different color of the glass in the incident and passing light. Also a significant feature is yellow-green fluorescence in UV light. The chemical purity of the oxide is very high (nuclear-pure material). The manufacturer guarantees the content of legends added (especially Mo).
